Super Macro!

I'm still playing with my new camera, a Fuji X10. It has a supermacro setting which lets you take photos from 1cm away, and can make photographing even the weeds in my front lawn fun!

I'd noticed a rather unusual delicate mushroom ( I think) nearly underfoot as I went to get in the car.

Macro

Super macro

Even dandelions become cool up close, and you can see tiny bugs inside

Clover! Boring old clover. My favourite I think.
Saturday Snapshot, is a wonderful weekly meme from at home with books

Nice ones. Macro is fun, it's like a whole new world. At least you are taking photos of pretty things. My PowerShot has a great macro setting and I spent a few weeks taking photos of bugs last summer.

That is so interesting. You know, I've seen other photos or posters of common things supersized and it's amazing how lovely they are up really, really close. I like the mushroom.

I also like to explore with close-ups. I like the clover too.
The mushroom looks like one of those little umbrellas that sometimes come in drinks in a restaurant. Neat!

Those are great! Flowers and even weeds are very cool when you can see all the tiny structures, not just the blur of color.

I'm jealous of your new camera and the love the cool markings on the mushroom, like looking at the top of an umbrella. Could you see if there were any fairies living under the mushroom? Here's Mine

Oh, wow! In the spring you can have some real fun with that setting if you spot a bee visiting a flower.. :)

That is so cool! I love being able to take close up shots (it's one of my favorite settings on my camera). A super macro setting would be a ton of fun to play around with.

Gorgeous - macro makes things really 'come alive' and show the beauty of things you don't really think about or notice. Lovely work!
